Wanted Non-Compliant Sex Offender Arrested by Shreveport Police

Shreveport Police Department has arrested non-compliant sex offender who failed to meet mandatory registration requirements.

Terry Lee Ashing, a classified Tier 3 sex offender and lifetime registrant, had not completed his required annual sex offender registration with the Shreveport Police Department for 2026.

Ashing has a prior criminal history that includes:

· A 1997 conviction in Ouachita Parish for Contributing to the Delinquency of Juveniles involving sexually immoral acts

· A 2017 conviction in Ouachita Parish for Attempted Sexual Battery

Due to these convictions, Ashing is required to register for life. He also has a prior conviction for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.

Shreveport Police obtained a warrant for Ashing’s arrest for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.

After a short search, Police were able to track down and arrest Ashing. He's currently in custody.
