Man With History of Domestic Violence Wanted by Shreveport Police
UPDATE: Davis has been arrested
Back on February 3rd Shreveport Police were called to a domestic violence incident.
The victim told police that her and her husband were in a car parked inside the garage of the home, when a fight broke out. She claims that her husband, 35-year-old Jonathan Davis choked her with his hands during the fight. The victim was able to escape the car and call for help. Her children were able to come help her, but Davis got away.
While investigating, SPD found out that Davis had a history of domestic violence with his wife going back to 2017. And Police found an active protective order against Davis with the victim's name as the protected person.
There was also different incident where Davis tried to force the victim out of a car at the house.
SPD had this to say about the charges and active search for Davis:
"As a result of the investigation, detectives obtained arrest warrants for Jonathan Davis on the following charges:
· Domestic Abuse Battery with Strangulation
· Domestic Abuse Battery – 4th Offense (Two Counts)
· Violation of a Protective Order Involving a Battery (Two Counts)
The Shreveport Police Department remains committed to protecting victims of domestic violence and holding offenders accountable. Anyone with information on Davis’ whereabouts is urged to contact the Shreveport Police Department at (318) 673-7300 or Caddo Crime Stoppers at (318) 673-7373."
