A vigilant Shreveport patrol officer gets the credit for rounding up a burglary suspect. Patrolman John Lee -- no, not KEEL's John Lee -- saw a man walking in the 500 block of Ockley Drive. A little later, he spotted the same man, who had been empty-handed earlier, on Fern Avenue carrying a leaf blower.

As soon as he saw the officer, 47-year-old Kenneth Anderson stashed the lawn equipment in some bushes. Officer Lee took Anderson into custody, then discovered the blower had been stolen from the garage of a home on Ockley.

Anderson was booked into the Shreveport City Jail on a simple burglary charge. Detectives are trying to figure out whether he's responsible for other similar crimes.
