After refusing to sign on with the city months ago, Uber is ready to set up shop in Shreveport. The ride sharing company has officially filed an application to operate in the city.

The app was filed last Thursday and city officials say it can take 3 to 5 business days before their application gets approved.

Uber would be the second ride-sharing company to offer services in the area. Lyft began their operations back in October after the city agreed to drop certain language from the City's ordinance.

If you would like to drive for Uber or get ride price estimates, you can find more details here.
