Two Men Arrested for Home Depot Equipment Theft
A collaborative effort by Shreveport police and DeSoto Parish sheriff's deputies leads to the arrests of two men wanted for equipment theft. Early this morning, a Shreveport officer spotted a Honda Accord stopped in the middle of the intersection at Samford and Kings. He saw what looked to be power equipment sticking out of the open trunk and stopped to investigate. When he approached the car, the driver sped off...and led police on a high-speed chase south on I-49 into DeSoto Parish. That's when deputies joined in on the pursuit. The car was finally stopped near mile marker 175...but it took a tire deflation device to make that happen. 49-year-old Martin Durrett and 43-year-old Glenn Rowe were both arrested. They're believed to have taken a generator and a power washer from the Home Depot in the 100 block of E. Bert Kouns.
