The fallout from this week's massive leak of Ashley Madison's client list continues, as NOLA.com reports that Louisiana Republican Party executive director Jason Doré's name was among those leaked.

Doré responded that he had created an account on the site for "opposition research," though he declined to say what that research included or who it was ultimately for. Ashley Madison, of course, is the dating website dedicated to matching married people for affairs. Doré allegedly spent over $175 on the site, first logging on in 2013.

The director of the statewide Republican Party said via text message that an account was created under his name and his former personal credit card billing address in connection with the work of his law firm, Doré Jeansonne. He declined to say who he was using the account for.

"As the state's leading opposition research firm, our law office routinely searches public records, online databases and websites of all types to provide clients with comprehensive reports," Doré said via text message. "Our utilization of this site was for standard opposition research. Unfortunately, it ended up being a waste of money and time." -- NOLA.com

Hackers spilled information on the website's nearly 37 million customers onto the web earlier this week. That came after a threat to do so two months prior unless Ashley Madison's owner -- Avid Life Media -- took the site down first.

Doré's name is the first major Louisiana name to have been revealed from the leak.

Sites like Trustify have the full leaked info dump, and are allowing people to enter email addresses to see if they were caught up in the leak.
