SHREVEPORT, LA-   Felon Arrested with Firearm After Tip

The Shreveport Police Department's Violent Crime Abatement Team (VCAT) received a crucial tip through Caddo-Shreveport Crime Stoppers, leading to the arrest of convicted felon Jason Whitehouse (DOB: 04/18/1977). The tip indicated that Whitehouse was in possession of a firearm, which is illegal due to his felony conviction.

VCAT, with the assistance of the SPD Warrant’s Unit, promptly acted on the information. Upon contacting Whitehouse, officers discovered that he was in possession of methamphetamine and a handgun. As a result, Whitehouse has been charged with one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
