Time to Sign Up for Night Out Against Crime Block Parties

Just over a month until the 2011 Night Out Against Crime in Shreveport and Bossier City. It's being held October 4th and mirrors National Night Out, traditionally held in the two cities on the first Tuesday in August. But because of the extreme heat in our area during this time of year, the event was moved to the first Tuesday in October. Night Out is a crime-prevention initiative designed to heighten crime-awareness and strengthen neighborhood spirit and the police-community partnership.
