The state of Louisiana exploded with excitement when it was announced that The Rolling Stones would be hitting the stage at Jazz Fest in New Orleans. A level of excitement that a show as big as Jazz Fest doesn't even see a lot.

But sadly, that excitement came to an end today, as The Rolling Stones have had to cancel their North American tour dates. Mick Jagger issued a Tweet about it:

Jagger has been ordered by a doctor to no tour, however a release from the band says that the legendary front man is supposed to make a full recovery. It was not included in the release what Mick is suffering from, but it did not sound like it was life threatening.

The Rolling Stones have said that fans with tickets should hold onto them, because they will be good at makeup dates. However at this time, its unclear if Jazz Fest is included in that plan.
