The Alexander Learning Center Could Be Closing

The Caddo School Board will vote today (February 23rd) on whether or not to put the Alexander Learning Center up for lease. Officials say that leasing the building could save upwards of 300 thousand dollars a year in maintenance and utilities alone. They are hoping a tenant will be willing to pay 70 thousand dollars a year for 5 years.

If all goes according to plan, the school will close at the end of the year and the board will relocate the school's 121 students to various locations. However, if no one takes the proposed lease, the school will stay open.
