A northeast Texas man admits to federal firearms violations. 48-year-old Eric Jason Wright of Gilmer has pled guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm. He was found to be in possession of a shotgun in Upshur County. An investigation revealed that he'd been convicted of delivering a controlled supstance in Upshur County in 1998. That means he was prohibited by federal law from owning or possessing firearms or ammunition. He faces up to 10 years in federal prison when he's sentenced. No sentencing date has been set.
