Texas Church Youth Leader Arrested for Child Pornography
According to KTXS-TV, a Youth Leader at a Texas church has been arrested and charged with crimes related to child pornography.
Reports say that authorities arrested Charles Goff, and charged him with Possession of Child Pornography. According to court documents, members of the Beltway Park Church in Abilene, Texas reached out to authorities. Goff is a Youth Leader at the church, and he was accused by church members of having a "child pornography issue".
Those court documents say that Goff discussed his child pornography possession with other church members, and one of them approached police. When investigators met with Goff, he admitted to using social media to solicit nude photos from teenage girls online.
Investigators were able to immediately recover three pornographic videos of young girls on Goff's phone. More illicit videos or photos may be discovered during this ongoing investigation.
Goff was booked into the Taylor County Jail on the charges, which could be increased as the investigation continues. His initial bond was set at $100,000.
