Teen Arrested in Shooting

A local teenager has been arrested for allegedly shooting a man last month in north Shreveport. According to detectives, 19-year-old Kendrick Martin reported that he was driving in the 400 block of Choctaw Train on March 24th, when a known male armed with a handgun fired several shots at him. Martin was hot hit, but at least one of the bullets struck the car he was driving. Based on crime scene and other information gathered during the investigation, detectives were able to identify 18-year-old Jimmy White as the person who fired the shots. He was arrested without incident and booked on a charge of illegal use of a weapon.
