TB Testing Wraps Up At Byrd High School Today
After one Byrd High School student showed signs of tuberculosis, dozens of other students will be tested next week.
More than 100 students were tested on Monday and another 100-150 are being tested today. Disease Intervention Specialist Jamie Wooley with the Caddo Health Unit tells KEEL News TB is not easy to catch.
We asked Wooley how long it will take to get the results back.
Wooley says students who had classes with that teenager were notified personally that they should be tested.
Wooley says the results will be sent to the school next week.
