A Plain Dealing man happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time...now he's in jail on drug charges. The Bossier Sheriff's Department says 21-year-old Jordan Phillips was sitting in a yard next to a man deputies wanted to speak with about an earlier incident. THAT man took off running...but Phillips stayed behind. While other deputies were chasing that man down, a deputy began talking to Phillips...then patted him down for weapons, to ensure his own safety. That's when the deputy felt bulges in Phillips' front pockets. He asked Phillips what he had in them, and Phillips said," Take me to jail. You're going to get it anyway." The deputy found a ball of money in one pocket...and nine clear baggies of suspected marijuana packaged for resale in the other. Phillips was arrested for possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
