First responders in the Bossier area will be getting some training on Tuesday, Oct 25, as Bossier Parish hosts a Parish-wide disaster drill that will involve multiple locations and agencies.
The Bossier Sheriff's Office says 26 recruits from various agencies have started their 12-week training course to become Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.)-certified law enforcement officers.
The Bossier Parish Sheriff's Office hosted training this past week for more than 50 School Resources Officers from around the state so the officers could be prepared to head back to school in a couple of months.
