A severe storm late Thursday afternoon battered the south Shreveport area with hail and high winds. The brunt of the storm was centered from Interstate 49 south of the city eastward toward Ellerbe and Norris Ferrry Roads and the Southern Trace area.
A very strong spring storm dumped ice and snow throughout the Midwest on Thursday, and tornadoes tore through much of the South. The storm is now heading for the East Coast.
Snow is falling across the Northeastern portion of the U.S. today and Americans are getting ready what could be a gigantic historic blizzard. Winter snowstorm Nemo could dump up to 3 feet of snow from New York City to Boston and beyond.
Hurricane-force winds are also expected along the coast with heavy snow, power failures, flooding and wind gusts up to 75 mph.
