Red River Flood

It was six years ago this week that the Red River crested at over 37 feet, the highest that locals had seen since the end of World War II.

On this day three years ago, it was just the start of the Red River Flood of 2015. The flood waters remained for weeks, and the damage caused is still felt across our area to this day.

The Red River Waterway Commission has begun the process of reopening the public boat ramps on the Red River now that water levels have started to recede.
