Navy Week

The State Fair of Louisiana is jam packed with entertainment this weekend, it's Navy Week in Shreveport/Bossier City and that's just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to stuff to do this weekend in the Ark-La-Tex!

A nice crowd braved the iffy weather yesterday to check out Navy Night at Airline High School.

Navy Night at Airline High School kicked off with an amazing aerial demonstration by the U.S. Navy Leap Frogs. These guys are Navy SEALs who do parachute jumps from planes.

What's it like being one of only a handful of women on a submarine? I had the opportunity to ask U.S. Navy Lieutenant Commander Maura Thompson that question. She's a supply officer on the USS Louisiana.

As Shreveport-Bossier prepares for Navy Week, we honor some of our hometown heroes.

Navy Week is coming to Shreveport-Bossier April 27-May 3, and will coincide with the Barksdale Defenders of Liberty Air Show.
