The old adage is true, it never rains on Highland! Well, except for last year, but we're just going to forget that!

One of Shreveport/Bossier City's favorite parades, the Krewe of Highland's, rolls this Sunday, February 15th at 2pm!

The Krewe of Highland is known for throwing one heck of a party and I can't imagine this Friday will be any different for their grand bal celebrating all things Mardi Gras and 'The Glory of Rome!'

The Krewe of Highland Parade got an early start over the weekend because of the threat for severe weather. That nasty weather did arrive, but not until close to the end of the parade for many.

My weekend was full of so much fun with some of my best friends. Saturday, we set up our little tent and grill on East Kings right by the duck pond.
