Data compiled from NOAA shows which Louisiana parishes are most likely to experience tornadic activity. Some of those parishes have already had touchdowns this year.

The Jeff Davis Parish School Board could vote on whether to join 10 other Louisiana school districts in Louisiana in implementing a 4-day hybrid school week.

Nearly 900 school districts across 26 states have adopted a 4-day school week, and at least ten of them are in Louisiana. Two more are considering shifting to an abbreviated weekly calendar, and one of them is in Acadiana.

The streets in question will be renamed every seven years to honor distinguished alumni of the University.
