Several Shreveport Council Members have proposed alternatives to the Mayor's proposed $18 monthly fee. But most of the members we spoke to expect a delay on a final vote.

We are getting close to a final decision about the proposed "clean city fee" of 18 dollars a month Mayor Adrian Perkins is pitching.

The Mayor and city leaders have been busy looking at all possible alternatives for a clean city fee to give sanitation workers a pay raise and to boost the city's dwindling reserve fund.

Lots of folks spoke out against the proposed clean city fee of $18 a month in Shreveport. But several also told the City Council they acknowledge we must do something to help the sanitation workers.

Less than a month after being sworn in as Mayor of Shreveport, Adrian Perkins is proposing a new fee to pay for sanitation services.
