We were poking around online and discovered that out of all the Louisiana restaurants featured on Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives on Food Network, he's never featured an eatery from our area. These are the five restaurants in Shreveport-Bossier City, LA that we think he should visit... first!

No one does Mardi Gras like we do here in Louisiana and when it comes to King Cakes and Food Network says one Shreveport, LA bakery makes and ships one of the best in the country!

It is being reported that the celebrity chef is hanging up his apron after 27 years of starring on the network.

In addition to Mean Girls, he's found tremendous success in the TV food world. He is the host of Food Networks' Halloween Wars, and has hosted Cake Wars, Cupcake Wars, and Christmas Cookie Challenge.

More good news for the restaurant business in Louisiana. One famous catfish restaurant in the state is the winner of the Food Network's culinary competition "Family Restaurant Rival".
