The operation will take place in the north end of Shreveport as part of the department’s ongoing efforts to deter impaired driving and arrest those who engage in this dangerous behavior.
The checkpoint is also part of a collaborative effort between Shreveport Police, Louisiana State Police, and Caddo Sheriff’s Office to emphasize our commitment to making the streets of our city safe for everyone.
Deputies with the Bossier Sheriff’s Office conducted a sobriety checkpoint Saturday night to early Sunday morning arresting eight individuals for either driving under the influence or on warrants.
The Bossier Sheriff’s Office will participate in a statewide “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign from Jan. 29 – Feb. 9 to identify and remove impaired drivers from the roadways during the Mardi Gras festival season.
