This new property, known as Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana will be the first land-based casino in the Shreveport-Bossier market.

Their next step is demolition of the existing, or a large portion of the existing facility, before beginning construction on a new casino and hotel at the Bossier City location.

The Louisiana Gaming Control Board takes action against the Bossier City casino. The Board Chairman called their actions "extremely disturbing"

State Gaming Control Chairman Ronnie Jones says that, regarding the Diamond Jack's move, "My sense of the legislative process is that things are never, ever done."
