Bossier City residents were shocked when Books-A-Million suddenly closed its Bossier City store in June. But just as quickly, something new and familiar is coming to the location.

If you've driven by the Books-A-Million located on Bossier City's bustling Airline Drive, you might have noticed the store's familiar lettering stripped from the building. That isn't due to renovation. The location has been shuttered; the latest casualty of a more tech-savvy literary crowd moving on to electronic options.
