Two water main breaks prompted city officials to issue boil advisories in two Shreveport neighborhoods earlier this week. Those boil advisories have now been lifted.
A water main break, and the subsequent repair, has prompted Bossier Parish officials to issue a boil advisory for several communities covering Consolidated Waterworks/Sewerage District 1 effective immediately.
Residents of the MLK area of Shreveport are urged to boil their water before drinking or cooking with it because of work being done on the water system.
A boil water advisory will be in effect from 10 o'clock tonight (Thursday) until it's lifted by state health officials for residents and businesses along a portion of Benton Road.
