Suspect Sought In Shreveport Bank Robbery
Detectives with the Shreveport Police Robbery Division are seeking the suspect responsible for the holdup of a local bank Tuesday morning in north Shreveport.
Just before 10:00 a.m. on January 17, 2017, Shreveport Police responded to the Chase Bank located in the 100 block of Freestate Boulevard to investigate a robbery of the business. As officers arrived on the scene, they learned a man had entered the business and presented an employee a note demanding money. No weapon was seen during the crime, although the suspect indicated that he was armed.
Cpl. Marcus Hines, spokesman for the Shreveport Police Department, tells us what happened next:
Following the demands of the suspect, the employee gave the man an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect, after making his haul, was last seen leaving the business parking lot driving off in a silver or gray colored sedan, possibly a Chevrolet Impala. No employees were injured during the ordeal. Authorities are releasing images of the suspect to the media in efforts to identify the man responsible for the brazen act.
