Suspect in Shreveport Parking Lot Shooting Arrested
On August 3rd, 2023, at 3:58 p.m., Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to a call of a shooting in the 1600 block of East Bert Kouns Industrial Loop. Responding officers located a victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Detectives with the Shreveport Police Violent Crimes Unit responded to the scene and began their investigation into the incident. After a thorough investigation detectives found that the victim was walking across a business parking lot when a vehicle pulled next to him, the driver got out and shot the victim multiple times before fleeing.
Shortly after the shooting Violent Crimes Detectives were able to obtain the name of the suspect. Detectives then facilitated the arrest of Ralynd Nunley (04/21/04) who surrendered himself without incident. Ralynd Nunley was charged with one count of attempted 1st-degree murder. The victim is expected to recover.
We must remind that all suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
