Stonewall Man Arrested for Leading Deputies on a Two-Parish Chase
On Sunday, Caddo Patrol Deputies got a call from the DeSoto Parish Sheriff's Office saying that they were chasing a red motorcycle going north on Mansfield Road.
Not long after the call, the bike was spotted by a group of patrolling CPSO Deputies, who quickly joined the chase. After CPSO joined the chase, the DeSoto Deputies backed off.
CPSO were able to keep-up with the reckless motorcyclist throughout the chase. When the man reached the intersection of Southern Avenue and East 78th Street, he slowed down and ditched the bike.
28 year-old Bradley Scott Burgess tried to run from Deputies, but one was able to catch and cuff him without issue. Burgess was searched, and CPSO Deputies found a handgun on him. During the chase Burgess was speeding and running red lights. Deputies also found out the motorcycle he used in the chase was stolen.
Burgess was taken to CCC where he was charged with the following:
1. Illegal Possession of Stolen Things (Felony)
2. Aggravated Flight from an Officer (Felony)
3. Possession of a Firearm by a Person Convicted of Certain Prior Felonies (Felony)
4. In-State Fugitive (Louisiana State Probation and Parole warrant)
5. Driving Under Suspension (Misdemeanor)
6. Switched Tag
The Deputies involved in the case did a great job keeping up with and arresting Burgess.
