Burglary At St. Jude Dream Home in Bossier Parish Leads to Quick Arrest
A local man is facing a series of charges after he allegedly broke into the construction site of the St. Jude Dream Home in Bossier Parish. He is accused of stealing building materials from the site.
The 2025 St. Jude Dream Home is located at 779 Duckwater Landing in the Duckwater Landing subdivision off of Swan Lake Road in north Bossier City. The house is currently under construction
Bossier Parish Deputies have been investigating a recent burglary at the home. Evidence gathered led to the arrest of Christopher Lee Thompson. He was found to be unlawfully occupying a residence that did not belong to him.
Thompson was arrested without incident and booked into the Bossier Parish Maximum Security Facility on the following charges:
Simple Burglary
Unauthorized Entry
Felony Property Damage
Sheriff Julian Whittington says "thanks to the swift action of Bossier detectives, almost all of the stolen building materials have been recovered and returned. Our deputies take these cases seriously, especially when it involves a charitable project like the St. Jude Dream Home. I am very proud of the thorough work of our investigators, and glad we were able to get these materials back where they belong."
Much of the work on this home is done by contractors who donate their time to help raise money for St. Jude.
