SPD Releases Image Of Suspect In Hit And Run That Injured Child
The Shreveport Police Department are looking for help to locate the suspect in a hit and run incident that injured a child this week. The incident happened just before 4pm on Jewella, near Silver Pine Boulevard. The young girl was getting off a school bus that had lights flashing and stop signs out. The child was rushed to a local hospital with broken bones. She is in stable condition.
Shreveport Police say the SUV hit the child, and she was sent flying into the air. The driver of the silver Cadillac Escalade fled the scene.
When SPD Officers arrived at the scene, they found the 12-year-old victim lying in the roadway. As they started their investigation, witnesses said that driver of the SUV stopped briefly and exited his vehicle, and another witness was able to take photos of the suspect.
