It seems new Shreveport Police Chief Alan Crump is doing some "house-cleaning" this weekend. Two officers are now on departmental leave, and three others have been terminated.

Joshua Dowell is on leave following his arrest Friday afternoon on an outstanding warrant. He was booked into Caddo Correctional Center for one count of contempt of court. He was hired by the department in July 2011.

Chief Crump has fired James Greene, hired in February 2000; Sean Channell, hired in July 2009; and Andre' Wilson, hired in August 2004. The chief says the men were terminated for violating department policies. No other details on what policies they're accused of violating have been released.

Another officer is on departmental leave, accused of possible policy violations. Jemarlun Walker was hired by the department in July 2016. He'll remain on leave until an internal investigation is complete.
