The parade will begin at the Shreveport Fire Station at the Fairgrounds and go on down to Hirsch, where a special program honoring Veterans will be held following the parade, said Linda Clements.

"This year's parade will be the biggest and best ever."

Active duty and retired military men and women and their families will be allowed in free at the Louisiana State Fair on Sunday, November 11th this year - the last day of the fair.

Fair spokesman Chris Giordana said Sunday,  November 11th,  will be Military and Veterans Appreciation Day at the fair.

State and local leaders heard all about new laws that allow special benefits to Veterans.  I'll post more details on today's Veterans Affairs news conference tomorrow at 710 KEEL.com. You can also tune in tomorrow for more details on KEEL Morning News from 5:30 until 9 am.
