Shreveporter to Speak at Tech’s Fall Commencement

A Shreveport native has been named as Louisiana Tech's fall graduation speaker.  George Baldwin Jr., a Tech graduate himself, is a petroleum engineer and principal of Baldwin Madden Energy here in Shreveport.  He'll discuss with Tech grads how success is a choice -- during the commencement ceremony this Saturday.  The 1978 Tech alumnus began his career in the oil and gas business as a petroleum engineer with Arkla Exploration Company in Shreveport -- before helping form his current company in 2008.  Tech's fall graduation is at 2 Saturday afternoon in the Thomas Assembly Center.
