Shreveporter Marion Dale Jones Convicted of Raping 11-Year-Old Girl

A Shreveport man faces life behind bars for the rape of a young girl.Marion Dale Jones was found guilty of aggravated rape by a Bossier Parish jury and has been sentenced to life in prison.

DNA evidence linked 51-year-old Marion Dale Jones to the attack on an 11-year-old girl back in 2007.

Bossier-Webster Parish District Attorney Schuyler Marvin tells KSLA says "thanks to the hard work of the Bossier City Police Department, we were able to get another child rapist off of our streets. First Assistant Lane Pittard did an outstanding job prosecuting this case."
