Shreveport Police Arrest Two Women for Fight Involving a Gun

On August 5th, 2023, at 10:57 p.m., Shreveport Police officers responded to a call of a shooting in the 3300 block of Ironwood Drive. Responding officers found that a female was armed with a handgun and fired multiple rounds at a victim after a dispute.

Further investigation revealed that (right) Latangie Noiel (5-5-97) and (left) Najah Phillips (11-13-94) were involved in a dispute when Phillips reported struck Noiel in the head with an object. Noiel then reportedly produced a firearm and fired shots at Phillips. No one was seriously injured in the incident.

Noiel was arrested by patrol officers and charged with one count of aggravated assault with a firearm. Phillips as arrested for one count of aggravated battery.

We must remind that all suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
