SHREVEPORT, LA-   Woman Arrested in Aggravated Battery Case

Shreveport police have arrested 29-year-old Clifonda Oneal in connection with an aggravated assault and battery incident. Oneal faces charges of one count of aggravated assault with a firearm and one count of aggravated battery.

The arrest follows an incident on May 25 at approximately 4:45 p.m., when officers responded to a call on the 700 block of Cotton Street. According to reports, a man had been struck in the face with a firearm. Despite the violent nature of the assault, the victim fortunately did not sustain serious injuries.

The diligent investigation by SPD patrol officers led to the identification and subsequent arrest of Clifonda Oneal.
