Shreveport Woman Arrested for Shooting Incident
SHREVEPORT, LA- Shreveport Police Make Arrest in Shooting Incident
On August 10, at approximately 9:00 PM, Shreveport Police officers were dispatched to a shots fired call in the 3200 block of Kitty Lane. While en route, officers observed a vehicle leaving the location that they believed to be involved in the incident.
After a brief pursuit, officers were able to stop the vehicle, and the driver, 35-year-old Quashayveia Washington, was taken into custody. Washington was found to have been involved in the shooting at the location. Fortunately, no one was struck during the incident.
Officers recovered the firearm used in the shooting, as well as shell casings from the scene. Washington has been charged with one count of flight from a police officer, one count of illegal use of a weapon, and multiple traffic violations.
The Shreveport Police Department remains committed to removing those who commit acts of violence from our streets. This arrest is a testament to the outstanding work of our patrol officers, who continue to rise to the occasion in keeping our community safe.
