Shreveport Police officers responded to an assault and battery call in the 2700 block of Waggoner Avenue on March 12th, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. On arrival, the responding officers were informed that a female identified as Raylene Stith (12-11-1966) had poured acetone on the face of the victim during an argument. Stith then reportedly armed herself with scissors.

Shreveport Police Officers were able to de-escalate the situation without incident.

The victim was treated for injuries to the face by the Shreveport Fire Department and is expected to recover. Stith was arrested for one count of Aggravated Battery and one count of Possession of Drug paraphernalia.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
