Shreveport Police Department Patrol officers were contacted in reference to a report of assault and battery in the 2000 block of Pinecroft Circle on March 10th, 2023, around 12:35 p.m.

On arrival, officers contacted Lachandra Walker (5-28-1993) and discovered that she was the ex-girlfriend of the 911 caller. Shreveport Police Patrol officers were informed that the caller had arrived at the residence in which the two both resided, and Walker refused to let the caller retrieve clothing.

During the incident, Walker reportedly produced a firearm and told the victim that she would shoot him if he did not move his vehicle from being parked on the grass in front of the residence.

After responding officers conducted their investigation Walker was arrested for one count of Domestic abuse aggravated assault. Officers recovered and seized the firearm used in the offense.

Shreveport Police would like to encourage those who are victims of Domestic Violence to seek assistance. There are many options that exist to help. Contact SPD for more details.

Shreveport Homicides in 2023

Homicide describes a person killing another person. That doesn't always mean it was a crime. Justifiable Homicides do exist, and will be counted on this list. These are violent killings, not necessarily murders. Murders are recognized as a crime, unlike all homicides.
