Shreveport Man Wanted in Connection to January Rape Case

Shreveport Police are seeking the publics help to find a man wanted for Third-Degree Rape.

SPD is searching high-and-low for Xavier Hall after the sexual assault of an 18 year-old woman was reported back in January. A warrant has been issued for Hall after investigators determined that he was likely responsible for the rape, and have not been able to find him.

WARNING: The following descriptions of the crime of Third-Degree Rape are graphic, but necessary to convey the severity of the offence.

Under Louisiana law, third degree rape is defined as non-consensual anal, oral, or vaginal sexual intercourse under any of the following circumstances:

· The victim is unable to resist or understand the nature of the act due to intoxication or a mental condition, and the offender knew or should have known of this incapacity.

· The victim is mentally impaired, either temporarily or permanently, and incapable of understanding the act, and the offender knew or should have known.

· The act is committed through deception, where the victim believes the offender is someone else due to intentional misrepresentation.

· The offender engages in sexual intercourse without the victim’s consent.
