Shreveport Traffic Stop Nets Armed Felon Arrest
SHREVEPORT, LA- Felon Arrested During Traffic Stop for Possession of Narcotics and Firearm
In the early morning hours of September 11th, around 3:00 a.m., Shreveport Police Officers conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Line Avenue and Monrovia Street. During the stop, officers contacted 24-year-old Dquayvious Jackson, who was driving the vehicle. Jackson was found to have a firearm and narcotics.
Further investigation revealed that Jackson is a convicted felon, making it illegal for him to possess a firearm. Jackson was promptly arrested and charged with possession of narcotics, illegal carrying of weapons, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. This arrest marks Jackson's fifth firearm-related arrest since 2020.
