The average hourly wage in Shreveport-Bossier is $25.59 compared to the national average of $32.66

What Occupations Saw Biggest Salary Jumps?

Industrial engineers and physical therapists saw pay increase about $5,000 over the past year.

Software developers jumped from $100,000 to 109,000.

Salaries for dentists climbed to $171,000 from $119,000 just a couple of years ago. Veterinarians also saw a pretty big bump, climbing from $96,000 to $124,000. Sales reps also had a pretty good run with income up to $129,000 from $98,000.

City of Shreveport 4.3%

Caddo Parish 4.1%

Bossier Parish 3.6%

DeSoto Parish 4.6%

All of these areas show unemployment rates just a tick higher than a year ago.
