On July 12th, 2023, at 10:52 p.m., Shreveport Police officers responded to a call of an armed person in the 200 block of Lake Street. Responding officers were informed of an armed gunman at this location making threats to shoot people. Further investigation revealed that a male identified as Jerry Williams (12-24-77) reportedly threatened the victim with a handgun.

When officers contacted Williams, he was found to be in possession of a handgun. Officers took Williams into custody.

Johnson was arrested and charged with one count of aggravated assault with a firearm after officers spoke to witnesses on the scene

We must remind that all suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
