Shreveport Convicted Felon Wanted for Theft of a Firearm

The Shreveport Police are searching for a Shreveport man following an incident that occurred on Peach Street.

SPD Detectives were called to the location in reference to a firearm that was believed to have been stolen. Through their investigation, detectives gathered sufficient information to obtain a warrant for Roderick Simpson for one count of Theft of a Firearm.

Simpson is also a convicted felon, and an another warrant has been issued for Felon in Possession of a Firearm.

Simpson has a prior criminal history that includes arrests and convictions for drug offenses as well as Battery of a Police Officer.

While SPD is urging the public to come forward with information, they also warn the public that if they see Simpson, DO NOT APPROACH. Simpson is considered armed and dangerous.
