Shreveport Police Department Violent Crimes Detectives are currently investigating a double homicide that occurred on Thanksgiving Day. At approximately 12:10 p.m. on November 28, officers responded to a shooting at 7702 Pines Road. Upon arrival, patrol officers discovered two males suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. One of the men was pronounced dead at the scene.

The suspect, later identified as Deandre Daniels (11-19-95), had sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital by Shreveport Fire Department (SFD). Daniels later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

Through the investigation, detectives have learned that Daniels and the victim, identified as Jamarion Bryant (6-21-06), were familiar with each other. It appears Daniels approached Bryant, who was seated inside a vehicle. An exchange of gunfire occurred between the two inside the vehicle. Bryant was able to exit the vehicle and flee on foot but collapsed shortly after, dying from his injuries.

At this time, detectives are working to determine the motive behind the shooting. However, they have stated that no additional suspects are being sought in connection with the incident.

The investigation is ongoing.
