Shreveport Police Arrest Teens for Illegal Possession of Handguns

Shreveport Police continue their efforts to remove firearms from individuals prohibited from possessing them, with a strong focus on addressing youth-related firearm offenses. On October 1st, 17-year-olds Dontavious Wilson and Edward Logan were arrested for the illegal possession of handguns.

Edward Logan was apprehended in the 4200 block Lakeshore Drive during the execution of a warrant, Later Dontavious Wilson was arrested near Baxter Street and Jewella Avenue after being found with a stolen firearm.

Under the leadership of Chief Wayne Smith, the Shreveport Police Department remains steadfast in its commitment to addressing firearm-related offenses. These incidents will not be tolerated, and violators will face the full weight of the law.
