SHREVEPORT, LA-   Get Ready for One Last Cold Snap Hitting Sunday Night After the Storms.

Shreveport Bossier residents are bracing for more possible severe weather for Thursday, then again on Saturday, according to the latest reports from the Weather Channel.

More Storms Are Expected for Shreveport-Bossier This Weekend

Friday looks pretty average, but storms are expected to come back with a vengeance on Saturday.  Richard Lewelling, meteorologist with the Weather Channel told KEEL News on Thursday morning:

Saturday is going to be a big day for us in regards to severe weather, everybody's going to get in on the action as this cold front is going to sweep into the area on Saturday push all the rain down though much of the Arklatex.  We're going to see some pretty decent rain chances as we get into Saturday and Saturday night.  3 to 6 inches of rain is a good possibility as we get into the day on Saturday.

But after the storms move through on Saturday, get ready for one last cold snap to hit the Shreveport Bossier area Sunday night.

It gets pretty chilly as we move into the latter half of the weekend and early into next week a chance to see some patchy frost as we move into Sunday night and into Monday with temperatures into the upper 30's and low 40's. So, we're not done yet with the cool temperatures.  Believe or not, we're gonna go from these sweltering 80's and close to 90 degrees for afternoon temperatures and cool off enough by Monday and Tuesday that we'll actually see some potential for some patchy frost in spots.  Richard Lewelling

So, you may not need to unpack the electric blanket, but you might want to keep a jacket handy for the first part of next week.
