UPDATE: Austin has been located and the vehicle was returned to the owner.

A woman is wanted by the Shreveport Police Department for stealing a car from the Lakeshore Inn after a short visit.

According to Police, they got a call from the Lakeshore Inn from a man claiming his car had just been stolen. The victim told Police that he had met Ladorothy Austin early Saturday (2/22/25) evening. At some point they both ended up in the same hotel room. The victim says he went to the bathroom for a short time, and when he came out Austin and his car keys were missing from the room. When the victim went outside to check on his car, it was gone.

The car has been sighted by several people since it was stolen and they reported it to SPD. An arrest warrant has been issued for Austin as of Tuesday (2/25/25)

"Anyone with information on Ladorothy Austin’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Shreveport Police Department at 318-673-7300 or Caddo Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373. Crime Stoppers offers cash rewards for tips leading to an arrest, and all information can be given anonymously."
